Find music in your script
Use the music list, numbers and rail actions to find a musical span.
Use the Music sidebar to return to Time to go without searching through all of Robin’s lines.
Go to the start
Section titled “Go to the start”- Open the Music sidebar.
- Find the placed number in the main list.
- Click its numbered title.
The editor focuses the block where it starts. Entries under Unassigned have no starting location to navigate to; place the number first.
Go to the ending
Section titled “Go to the ending”Click the music title pill to reveal its controls, then use Go to music end when available.
The rail’s start-marker menu also offers Go to effective end. From its ending-marker menu, Go to start takes you back.
The effective end is where the span currently finishes, whether set explicitly or derived from the surrounding script. See Choose where music plays.
Read the numbers
Section titled “Read the numbers”Music numbering follows the scene containing each start and the order of starts in that scene:
| Music in a scene | Example in Scene 2 |
|---|---|
| One number | 2) |
| Two numbers | 2.A) and 2.B) |
The number is separate from the title you enter. Adding another number in a scene can change its existing label from a number alone to a numbered letter. Moving scenes or music starts changes these labels to match their new positions.
Find a number waiting for use
Section titled “Find a number waiting for use”Look under Unassigned in the sidebar. To search a longer list, use Open music in attribute manager, then Search music in the manager’s Music view.
The manager includes both placed and unassigned numbers. Selecting one there opens its details; use the editor sidebar to navigate to its starting block.
