Prepare the title page
Add the script title, credits, contact details, a logo and the date of your draft.
Before sending The last door, give its readers the author and draft details they need to identify the copy.
Add the title and credits
Section titled “Add the title and credits”- In the app header, use Open script settings.
- Choose Title page in the settings sidebar.
- Check Title and, if needed, add a Subtitle.
- In the credits table, enter a Credit, such as
Written by, and the Author(s), such asAlex Morgan. - Use Add credit row for another contribution, such as
Music by. Within an Author(s) cell, Add author adds another person to the same credit. - Add Source, Copyright and Contact where needed.
- Choose Close settings, open Export and check the title page in the PDF preview.
These details are saved automatically with the script. The Title field is also the script’s name: changing it changes the name shown in the app and used for the PDF filename.
Choose the draft date
Section titled “Choose the draft date”Under Draft Date, choose the Date format and decide what the date should represent.
- Leave Automatic date of export on when the title page should show the date on which you prepare the output.
- Turn it off and choose Date when this draft needs a fixed date, even if you export it again later.
The Preview shows the date in the chosen format. The same draft-date choice supplies Draft date when you insert it in a header or footer.
Add or replace a logo
Section titled “Add or replace a logo”In Logo, choose Upload image and select a PNG or JPEG up to 2 MB. The logo appears above the title in exports.
For an existing logo, use Replace image to choose another file or Remove to leave the title page without it. If an image is rejected, check the format and file size shown by the field.
Need a cast list or contents?
Section titled “Need a cast list or contents?”The title page holds the details you enter about this script. Cast, place, contents and vocal-range pages are prepared from the script’s structured information; add them in Export.
